Hi, we’re Karn and Laura

You Can Fly Media is a social media and marketing agency in Washington, Tyne & Wear, founded in 2023 by Karn and Laura. We manage social media, build websites, custom software and AI tools, and shoot photography and video for local businesses across Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham and the wider North East.

We’re a small, local team, and we like it that way. You’ll always know who’s looking after your business, because it’s us.

How we got off the ground

  1. 2023

    One business, one idea

    YCF Media started with Karn managing the social media for one business. Birtley Gym & Fitness Centre were the first to hear the idea out, and they’re still with us.

  2. Then

    A camera and a drone

    Karn added photography and drone work, so our clients get real photos of their own business, on the ground and from the air. Real photos are still at the heart of everything we make.

  3. Then

    Two of us, one team

    Karn and Laura run YCF Media together. You’ll always speak to one of us, never a call centre.

  4. Then

    Websites, software and a studio

    We brought more and more in-house: websites, branding, Google profiles, custom software and AI tools, plus our own studio in Washington.

  5. Today

    A one-stop shop that saves you time

    Today we look after businesses across Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham and beyond, some as far away as Scotland. Around 90% of our clients still choose to meet us face to face.

    We never manage social media for competing businesses in the same area. If you trust us with your page, we won’t run the page for the business down the road. It’s cost us work, and we’d make the same call again.
