Everything you need to know about our WordPress & WooCommerce sites for Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead and Durham.
?How long does a website take?Timeline
Most brochure sites launch in 6–8 weeks from sign-off of copy & assets. WooCommerce typically takes 8–10 weeks. We share a clear schedule with milestones for design, build, QA and launch.
?What’s included in every build?
Mobile-first pages, accessibility-aware layout, technical SEO basics (titles, meta, headings, schema), Core Web Vitals focus, GA4 events & pixels, SSL/privacy, and a short video handover so you can edit confidently.
?Do you provide copywriting and images?
Yes. We can write SEO-ready copy from your notes and supply licensed stock if needed. We also offer on-site photography & video across the North East for authentic visuals.
?Will my site be fast and SEO-ready?
Speed & SEO are baked in: clean code, image optimisation, caching, structured data and internal linking. We aim for a Core Web Vitals pass on new builds and set up your Google Business Profile essentials if needed.
?How do payments work?Payments
Upfront is our preferred option and gives you the lowest price. You can also spread the cost over 3 months (typically ~+10%) or 6 months (typically ~+15–20%). We’re flexible and can discuss a fair rate for your situation.
Standard booking is 50% to reserve production time and 50% on pre-launch sign-off. Stage plans are tied to milestones.

?Do you host the website?
Yes — we offer super-fast UK hosting with SSL, daily backups, malware scanning and a staging area for safe updates. Prefer to keep your current host? No problem — we’ll advise the fastest route for your setup.
?What about maintenance and support after launch?
Choose a care plan for updates, backups, monitoring and priority support (standard from £50/mo; eCommerce £100–£250/mo). Ad-hoc maintenance for small tweaks is available from £7.
?Is website maintenance included with social packages?
Yes. Our Silver social package includes maintenance for brochure sites, and Gold includes maintenance for eCommerce sites (coverage depends on store size). Larger changes or new features are quoted first.
?Can you add booking systems or custom features?Custom
Absolutely — bookings, custom plugins, delivery options, calculators, checkout logic and integrations (CRMs, email, payments). We scope custom work on enquiry and quote based on complexity and impact.
?Who owns the website when it’s finished?
You do. On final payment we transfer licenses (where applicable), admin access and files. Third-party stock or fonts remain under their respective licenses.
?Do you set up domains and email?
Yes — we can register domains, configure DNS and help set up professional email via Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. You keep ownership and control.
?How many revision rounds are included?
Typically two rounds at design and one at build for layout/content polish. We keep feedback simple with comment links or short video notes.
?Can you migrate my old site and keep rankings?
Yes — we audit the current site, map URLs, create redirects, migrate key content and retain meta where useful. This protects existing rankings and avoids 404s after launch.
?Do you follow accessibility best practice?
We design and build with WCAG principles in mind: semantic structure, colour contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation and alt text. Full accessibility audits are available as an add-on.
?Are you compliant with GDPR?
We implement cookie consent, privacy/cookie pages and secure forms as standard. If you use third-party tools, we’ll help configure compliant settings.
?What analytics do we get?
Google Analytics 4 with event tracking for forms, calls, WhatsApp and bookings. We can add a Looker Studio dashboard for at-a-glance reporting.
?Which browsers and devices do you support?
Current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, on modern iOS/Android, tablets and desktops. We test responsive layouts and key interactions across common breakpoints.
?What if something breaks after launch?
There’s a 14-day snagging window for build-related fixes. Care plan clients receive priority support and proactive updates thereafter.
?Do you work outside Washington/Sunderland?
Yes — we work across the North East (Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham) and remotely across the UK. In-person meetings are available locally.
